About the Giant Betta

A Giant Betta is a significantly larger variety of the common Siamese fighting fish, capable of reaching up to 5 inches in length, compared to the standard 2.5 inches. This lineage of domestic betta has been artificially selected for a larger size. These fish are known for their striking, vibrant colors and long, fluid fins, which are often larger than those of females.

Temperament: Peaceful to Semi-Aggressive. Aggression can vary from individual to individual.

Minimum Tank Size: 10+ Gallons

Water Temperature: 76-82 °F

Water pH: 6.0-8.0

Social Group: Solitary

Diet: Carnivorous; Commercial Betta Diets, Frozen Bloodworms/Brine Shrimp, Live Baby Brine Shrimp, Live Fruit Flies

Compatible with: Peaceful community fish that do not fin-nip. Preferably fish that stay exclusive one level of the aquarium water column like Corydoras and do not look identical to your individual betta.
